117 – Installation, members attended Post 167’s Installation

 

167 – Installation took place on 18 May.  Thanks to Post 117 for their participation.  Thanks to outgoing Commander Greenberg for his service.  Introduction of Frank Bressler, JVC/Newsletter Editor.  Post is recruiting members.  Had Oneg Shabbat at U.S.N.A.

 

380 – Had Kiddush on Armed Forces Day; speaker was a formember of the Iseaeli Defense Forces.  The Post will participate in a Memorial Day parade in Annapolis.

 

567 – The Post participated in a Yom Hashoah observance.  Installation, speaker was the Director of the VA Medical Center.  More events: Ground breaking for fisher House in D.C., Atlantic City trip, Golf outing, Brunch, July 4th parade.

 

692 – MG Silverman spoke at a meeting.  Election and Installation of officers.  The new commander is trying to organize a new Post on the east side of Montgomery County.

 

888 – Visits to Perry Point – VA, BINGO at Loch Raven – VA, Flags, USNA Oneg Shabbat, Installation, Picnic.  Regular attendance of 35-40 at each meeting.  The brother of Paul Savanuck donated some items to DINFOS, Ft. Meade.

 

Public Relations – need electronic input from Posts.

 

Museum – Library, moved, difficult to access.  Discussion on leadership of museum.

 

Scouting – Department doing an excellent job.

 

Nominating Committee presented its slate of candidates.

 

Good and Welfare – JVC, Frank Bressler appeared on the radio program, Shalom U.S.A. that morning and spoke about the Battle of the Bulge.

 

Post 888 provided the refreshments.
