Quartermaster’s Report – Accepted as presented.

• Commander-According to National, no Post has submitted their financial reports.  Posts 380 and 567 have a record of having submitted their report and have receipts.  Posts 167 submitted their report but it might not be complete.  Post 117 has a waiver.  Post 888 will send it in the next day. 
• Commander attended the Maryland Veterans Commission meeting.  Maryland Tax exemption bill is being pursued. 
• The commander presented Kiddush cups at the U.S. Naval Academy.  Vice Admiral David Architzel was in attendance at the ceremony and will become a life member of the JWV at the request of Commander Burtnick.
• The subject of the flag dipping at the Christian Service at U.S. Naval Academy was discussed.  The Commander is working on a letter with National to be sent to the Defense Department regarding that issue.  Commander 380 said that the President authorized resumption of the long-time tradition.
• Commander spoke at Bnai Israel, Baltimore for Armed Forces Day.
• The Installations of Post 117, 167, and888 were noted.
• Today, the Memorial Day program will be held at the JCC, Owings Mills.
• The following day, a Memorial Day observance will take place at the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery to be followed by services at the Jewish section.
• The Department Convention will be held on 08 June at Annapolis.
• Chaplain Rabbi Geller will not attend the convention; Gilbert Miller will serve in his stead.  Names of the Deceased will be passed to him.
• Reminder about the Convention.

117 – Installation, members attended Post 167’s Installation

167 – Installation took place on 18 May.  Thanks to Post 117 for their participation.  Thanks to outgoing Commander Greenberg for his service.  Introduction of Frank Bressler, JVC/Newsletter Editor.  Post is recruiting members.  Had Oneg Shabbat at U.S.N.A.

380 – Had Kiddush on Armed Forces Day; speaker was a formember of the Iseaeli Defense Forces.  The Post will participate in a Memorial Day parade in Annapolis.

567 – The Post participated in a Yom Hashoah observance.  Installation, speaker was the Director of the VA Medical Center.  More events: Ground breaking for fisher House in D.C., Atlantic City trip, Golf outing, Brunch, July 4^th parade.

692 – MG Silverman spoke at a meeting.  Election and Installation of officers.  The new commander is trying to organize a new Post on the east side of Montgomery County.

888 – Visits to Perry Point – VA, BINGO at Loch Raven – VA, Flags, USNA Oneg Shabbat, Installation, Picnic.  Regular attendance of 35-40 at each meeting.  The brother of Paul Savanuck donated some items to DINFOS, Ft. Meade.

Public Relations – need electronic input from Posts.

Museum – Library, moved, difficult to access.  Discussion on leadership of museum.

Scouting – Department doing an excellent job.

Nominating Committee presented its slate of candidates.

Good and Welfare – JVC, Frank Bressler appeared on the radio program, Shalom U.S.A. that morning and spoke about the Battle of the Bulge.

Post 888 provided the refreshments.
